Budapest Airport
The Airport Budapest was re-opened after heavy destructions during the
second world war on the 7th May 1950. The airport is located in the
Eastern part of the Budapest.
The airport was opened the first time in 1939, and counted as one of the most modern in that time.
At the end of the cold war the occurrence of passengers decreased, and some parts of the airport were used for office rooms.
The situation changed with the start of the many cheap airlines in
2003. Immediately the airport traffic increased rapidly and the airport
had to be renovated for the inrush.
Since 2005 the airport is in private hands.
