Budapest Museum
The Budapest Museum has its location in the South Eastern part of the
palace castle. The museum shows the history of Budapest at the very
beginning to its current situation.
The development of Budapest or rather its autonomous city districts
Buda, Obuda and Pest until 1873, can be seen in the upper floors of the
museum.
Among the exhibits of the Budapest Museum are a lot of mechanic and
handicraft products, textiles, ceramics, photographies, furnitures and
several items of everday life.
Besides remains of a mediaeval castle can be also seen. The castle was located on the place of todays castle palace.
Additionally rooms show painted stove tiles, kitchen items, and weapons of the 14th and 15th century as well.
